Eva Torres is an emerging Spanish painter. After a long period without picking up the brushes, he has returned to the world of painting at the hands of the great masters. His training in Art History has made him want to follow this path, just as many of the great painting artists did throughout History, learning and drinking from the greats. He considers that reproducing the different great painters in the History of Art is a process that is deeply enriching and from which a lot is learned. This is how many of the great painters were made, copying the greats, like Rubens copied Titian. It is an inner journey through each one of them, which helps to better understand each icon of painting, their work, and what their art meant and contributed to a precise moment in History.
To do this he has painted a series of reproductions of artists from different periods, of different styles, which have helped him to understand pictorial expression from different perspectives.
A tribute also to the copyist painters of History, who on so many occasions have played a fundamental role in the conservation and dissemination of artistic pictorial heritage.
