I started my artistic career in the 1980s in the workshop of the renowned Uruguayan artist, Alceu Ribeiro. After participating in several workshops and learning various techniques, I started my solo career, exploring freely and defining my own style. My work has evolved from figurative to abstract, as I am always looking for new ways to express myself.
Throughout my creative career, I have had various jobs and functions. I hold a degree in clinical psychology from the University of the Balearic Islands in Spain, and I practiced as a psychologist for 15 years in my own clinic, collaborating with different professionals in the field. My last professional activity was as a manager in Mediben, a multidisciplinary clinic in Palma de Mallorca, where I am from and currently reside. Painting has always been my main activity, and I have enjoyed it throughout my years of professional work.
Nowadays, I dedicate myself exclusively to painting, participating in group exhibitions and showcasing my works in public and private galleries. I work on commission for private clients, as well as with various decorators and architects who are interested in my works for their professional projects.
When it comes to my creative process, I almost always start spontaneously and intuitively, without questioning it. My source of inspiration can come from various sources, such as an image, a color, a memory, a piece of music, etc. I consider myself an experimental artist, always exploring different media and styles. The textures and colors that I use in my works are recorded on the canvas in an intuitive and spontaneous flow that fascinates me, and that only the creative process can produce.
