Laure Bury is a contemporary British artist known for her vibrant landscapes, seascapes, colour compositions with butterflies and birds. The beauty and simplicity of her work have made her an international best selling artist.
Laure says that to create a picture is a process "like a dance, with loose and broad movements, splashing, scratching and watching the painting evolve almost by itself. Each piece evokes the Magic and delicate balance of nature and invites the viewer to rejoice in life”.
The artist has lived in several different countries including France, Spain and Mexico which have influenced her colour palette as well as her subject matter. She now lives in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor and is particularly interested in the practise of mindfulness in the creation of her paintings. She says “ to empty my mind and allow the power of life to flow through my artwork brings a new energy which is at the same time dynamic, peaceful and up-lifting".
