De 18 à 35 ans, Jean-Pierre Borderie se consacre uniquement à la
photographie tout en développant un intérêt certain pour la peinture et en
investissant dans la création. A cette époque, une ambiguïté plane entre la
création photographique et picturale. La photographie livrait une version
brute de l'objet exploré. Un cheminement parut alors nécessaire pour
lier le visible et l'invisible, l'objet et la pensée.
Peu à peu, la peinture donna son envergure à sa propre expression tandis
que la palette des couleurs l'aidait à explorer les émotions et les choses.
Le tableau et la sculpture restent un terrain d'exploration où le spectateur
devient démiurge à travers la recherche des éléments qu'il découvre ou
du sentiment qui l'envahit.
Le tableau se construit en fonction du regard qu'on lui porte.
L'oeuvre a son histoire, l'artiste sa propre vérité.
