Henri Cartier-Bresson è nato il 22 agosto 1908 a Chanteloup, in Francia. Pioniere del fotogiornalismo, Cartier-Bresson ha girato il mondo con la sua macchina fotografica, immergendosi totalmente nel suo ambiente attuale. Considerato uno dei maggiori artisti del XX secolo, ha coperto molti dei più grandi eventi mondiali, dalla guerra civile spagnola alle rivolte francesi del 1968.
Nei primi anni
Ampiamente considerato una delle principali forze artistiche del XX secolo, Henri Cartier-Bresson è nato il 22 agosto 1908 a Chanteloup, in Francia. Il maggiore di cinque figli, la sua famiglia era benestante - suo padre aveva fatto fortuna come produttore di tessuti - ma Cartier-Bresson in seguito scherzò sul fatto che, a causa dei modi frugali dei suoi genitori, spesso sembrava che la sua famiglia fosse povera.
