Gawel Kowalski è un artista italiano contemporaneo, nato in Polonia e cresciuto a Roma. Fin da giovane il mondo dell'arte, in particolare la pittura ad olio, cattura il suo interesse. Sebbene abbia frequentato inizialmente l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, il suo desiderio di libertà e la ricerca di una sperimentazione sfrenata lo hanno portato ad allontanarsi dai percorsi accademici convenzionali. Di conseguenza, i documenti ufficiali della sua formazione non riflettono l’ampiezza della sua esplorazione artistica.
Dopo varie occupazioni, Gawel ha intrapreso una "carriera" come fotografo, durata circa 12 anni. Ora considera ufficialmente conclusa questa fase. La fotografia è servita come mezzo rapido per esprimere il suo mondo interiore, fornendo sia uno sbocco creativo che un mezzo di sostentamento. Tuttavia, Gawel vede questo periodo come un trampolino di lancio nel suo percorso artistico, un modo per esplorare e raccogliere i frutti della sua creatività.
Attualmente Gawel Kowalski si sente maturato artisticamente. Il suo viaggio è stato segnato da un'ampia sperimentazione, producendo una raccolta diversificata di espressioni artistiche.
