Biography

„My art can be described as abstract and contemporary. My tools include needles, putty knives, brushes, pencils and, of course, my hands which enable me to feel my art. Most of the time, I use whatever I can find, amongst other things: acrylic and oil, varnish, coal and chalk. I use a very special style which features synthetic drawing. I take the shape of an accidentally chosen object and draw part of it onto my canvas. By putting these randomly selected outlines together, I have created an artificial object. My work is pervaded with lines, which arise from synthetic drawing. Combining outlines of existing forms and objects creates a new reality. To finalize my work I connect the graphics with the painting by additional colorizing. People often view my work and find the unexpected. Looking at my paintings more closely or over a longer period of time, you'll always discover shapes and figures which previously remained covert."
