About the author
I have been self-taught and amateur painter since 2019.
I attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège and the School of Plastic and Visual Arts in Mons ( where I taught urban lighting).
Architecture is also one of my passions. My job as a lighting designer allowed me to work on remarkable architectural projects (museums, art galleries, public spaces).
I love it working on contrast, between dark and light, between colors, between the abstract and the figurative.
I see aesthetics as a 'science'; more than 'art'. The human gaze appreciates a harmony found in the complementarity of tones and in geometric balance.
I try to produce a unique identity. I appreciate double meaning or triple meaning concepts. We no longer know what the work expresses... Perhaps it is this or perhaps that. I like this ambiguity, often a source of humor, which I seek.
If my work delivers an atmosphere, an attraction, a harmony, a unique identity, a subject for daydreams. .. That’s already a lot, it seems to me.
