Anton Tische is a contemporary Czech sculptor whose artistic journey commenced in 2005 with a fervent passion for graffiti. By 2009, his creative endeavors expanded into the realm of three-dimensional forms, marking the inception of his sculptural exploration.

As a self-taught artist, Tische embarked on a personal odyssey of artistic discovery, immersing himself in the study of shapes and dynamics. Drawing inspiration from the works of great masters, he meticulously honed his craft, mastering the intricacies of sculpture creation.

In his artistic pursuits, Tische finds inspiration in a diverse array of sources, including nature, contemporary philosophy, and the psychology of authors and painters. Since 2016, his focus has shifted towards exploring the duality inherent within human nature—a theme that pervades his body of work.

At the core of Tische's artistic expression lies the motif of internal dialogue, reflecting the eternal struggle between light and dark within the human psyche. His sculptures serve as visual representations of this dichotomy, embodying the tension between opposing forces.

Central to Tische's exploration of duality is his "Duality Project," which commenced with the creation of the "Idol" sculpture in clay in 2016. Through this project, he metaphorically portrays different types of people through animals, symbolizing the interplay between light and purity, and darkness and depravity.

Each sculpture within the Duality Project narrates a unique story, illustrating how darkness can gradually consume the human spirit. This project also led to the development of Tische's innovative medium—the dual pixel—a miniature bas-relief of the "Idol" sculpture, enabling him to create three-dimensional mosaics.

Driven by a desire to materialize the intangible forces that shape human existence, Tische's art serves as a profound exploration of the complexities of the human condition, inviting viewers to contemplate the eternal struggle between light and darkness within us all.
