Vincenzo Laino conosciuto anche come V. Lainò nasce a Messina negli anni 40 del secolo scorso.

Vincenzo Laino Ha studiato all accademia delle Arti a Catania prima di emigrare a Roma negli anni 70. 

Espone in diverse collettive tra il 1975 e il 1979.

Vincenzo Laino Partecipa alla Primavera di Fiuggi, alla biennale di Barcellona del 1985.

Nel 1986 collabora attivamente con la Galleria Pierini.

Nel 1988 prende parte alla Biennale dei giovani artisti.

Le opere di Vincenzo Laino si trovano in tante collezioni private, l artista era solito vendere e regalare la maggior parte delle sue opere, grazie alla collaborazione con la galleria Alice a Roma negli anni 80 e 90 molte opere occupano tante collezioni appunto laziali. Durante questi anni nominato a Roma come il Lainò, firma molte sue opere con l.accento sulla o. 

Gli ultimi anni di lavoro lo riportano nella terra natia, in quelli di Messina, in particolare modo lo studio prende vita a Motta Camastra.
