About the author
Raimo Bergt is an artist whose work is characterized by the ability to capture fleeting moments of everyday life and transform them into something unique and magical. Originally from the world of comics, he graduated from the Atelier de la Bande Dessinée at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Angoulême, France in 1996 and has since worked as an illustrator, painter and photographer.
Raimo Bergt finds inspiration in his immediate surroundings. He is fascinated by the play of light and color in unusual places, foggy landscapes, flora and fauna in general, and all kinds of graffiti, tags and street art, whether well done, clumsy or involuntary. He is also fascinated by processed or aged surfaces, which he also likes to use as image carriers. To capture his ideas, he first takes photos and then turns them into works of art. He is usually guided by his subconscious and by chance, likes to switch between painting and photography or combines elements of both. His works are poetic and intense at the same time. They don't want to explain anything, but rather touch the viewer on an emotional level.
