Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of leasing works of art?

  • Financial Flexibility: You can enjoy exceptional, high-value works of art without a large initial investment.
  • Tax Benefits: Receive potential tax benefits as rents can be deducted as a business expense.

How are the prices of monthly payments for leasing works of art set?

  • The costs depend on the value of the work, the duration of the leasing contract, and any services included such as installation.

Can we buy the work after the leasing period?

  • Yes, on Artmajeur leasing contracts offer a purchase option at the end of the contract, allowing customers to acquire the work at a determined price (residual value).

How are the safety and insurance of works managed?

  • Insurance during the duration of the rental contract is the responsibility of the customer. It is therefore important to check the details of your insurance contract to be sure that your leased works are covered in the event of damage.

What are the conditions for terminating the leasing contract before its end?

  • Unless there are specific conditions, leasing contracts for works of art commit the client to payment of the entire price of the work; payments are therefore due until the end of the lease.

Cyril Raymond, born in 1973, is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in France, known for his protean creations and his exploration of subjects such as humanism, transhumanism, ecology, freedom of expression, current affairs, beliefs, memory and borders. Coming from an artistic family, he began by studying classical piano at the National Regional Conservatory of Lyon before turning to graphic arts and joining an advertising illustration school.

For more than twenty years, Cyril has worked in the fields of communication and live performance, producing multimedia supports, films and space design. Since 2013, he has multiplied residencies and artistic collaborations, notably at the Vasarely Foundation in Aix-en-Provence where, with Vincent Mignerot, specialist in synesthesia, he imagines a man/machine interface allowing one to see sounds or hear pictures.

He also collaborates with artists such as Erik Truffaz and Ervin Aarset on the "BROKEN" project, and with the Possible(s) 4tet ensemble as a video scenographer. With the illustrator Benjamin Flao, he participates in the show "ATLANTIDE", composed by Guillaume Perret for the Île-de-France Jazz Festival.

Engaged in hackathons such as MUSEOMIX Arles, Cyril designs immersive scenographic devices, notably an installation at the Arles Departmental Museum of Antiquity which immerses visitors in the skin of the inhabitants who were victims of the 2003 floods. In 2015, he founded the collective "nøclic.nøscreen_" with two creative coders and a designer. Together, they create experiential installations integrating LED technology, video mapping, embedded electronics, mechanics and furniture design. Their installation “Glimmer of Hope” at the Lyon Festival of Lights allows them to interact with nearly a thousand visitors over three days.

Impressed by his work, the diocese of Lyon commissioned Cyril to create and produce a monumental plastic and luminous work representing the “Door of Mercy” of the Saint-Bonaventure Sanctuary. Other installations take them as far as Vienna in Austria.

Since 2018, Cyril Raymond has devoted himself to the production of artistic works using mixed techniques (acrylic, collage, Indian ink, various materials) sometimes augmented virtually. His audiovisual works evolve in an abstract universe or inspired by generative design, always linked to a singular sound universe. Even when he approaches a more figurative aesthetic, his production process is based on an instinctive approach, excluding the real referent to rely on feeling, as in his series "Imaginary Portraits", a kind of emotional selfies.
