Alexandr Karat is a contemporary Russian sculptor, who modernizes classical art in his works. In the last years he closely studied the anatomy of man and animals. He was having a great interest in the human body, its beauty and harmony, and its dynamic expressiveness, which he later embodied in his works.
Karat's sculptures are made of bronze, which he chooses because it's the most durable material and easily processed metal. As Karat saids, sculptures made of bronze only become more beautiful over the years, it has the appearance of natural aging and this further adorns the sculpture.
