Yolanda Luna Lobo is a contemporary Spanish artist whose artistic journey reflects a passionate pursuit of creative expression and exploration. Initially, painting was a hobby for her, but it wasn't until the 1990s that she began to approach it more seriously. Prior to this, Luna Lobo's primary passion lay in interior design, a background that would ultimately influence her artistic style, which is characterized by its decorative nature.

Luna Lobo's artistic education took her through various cultural centers, including La Vaguada, Santa Teresa de Calcuta, the Espacio de Creación painting workshop, and finally the De Granero painting studio. Here, she experimented with different mediums such as charcoal, pastel, and oil, honing her skills and developing a keen eye for detail.

In her early years as a painter, Luna Lobo's favorite subjects were female figures, still lifes, and landscapes. Inspired by the works of impressionist masters such as Monet, Van Gogh, and Renoir, she delved into the world of impressionism, capturing the beauty of rural Spain and the essence of portraiture.

Transitioning from impressionism, Luna Lobo embarked on a journey into abstraction, drawn to the decorative arts that initially sparked her interest in painting. This marked a return to her roots, as she began to experiment with oil and acrylic paints, as well as unconventional materials such as pumice stone, marble dust, cardboard, and collage elements. Her work became imbued with a sense of ornamental richness, reflecting her fascination with decorative and ornamental art, ceramics, and sculpture.

Currently, Luna Lobo is expanding her artistic horizons, delving into the realms of ceramics and sculpture, further enriching her practice with new techniques and mediums. Her art continues to evolve, guided by a deep-seated passion for creativity and a desire to explore the limitless possibilities of artistic expression.
