Ana Santos, a contemporary Portuguese artist, embarked on her artistic journey by earning a degree in Art, specializing in Sculpture, at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto from 2012 to 2016. During her academic pursuits, she broadened her horizons through an enriching Erasmus experience in Barcelona in 2015, which undoubtedly contributed to her artistic growth and perspective.
Following her formal education, Santos immersed herself in the world of sculpture by collaborating with the accomplished sculptor Bruno Marques da Cunha from 2016 to 2017. This hands-on experience allowed her to further refine her skills and gain practical insights into the intricacies of sculptural artistry.
In the subsequent years, Ana Santos dedicated her focus to personal projects encompassing sculpture, drawing, and engraving, a period marked by the cultivation of her distinct artistic voice. Her commitment to sharing her knowledge and passion for the arts led her to take on the role of a drawing and modeling teacher at Ponto das Artes in Porto in 2018.
Undoubtedly driven by a desire to create a unique artistic space and contribute to the creative landscape, Ana Santos recently established the "Sculpture Studio Ana Sousa Santos" in Porto. This new artwork space serves as a testament to her dedication to the arts and provides a platform for her continued exploration and expression within the realm of sculpture.
