Fridge Art Fair NYC, in partnership with 33 Seaport Hotel in Lower Manhattan, is pleased to announce The Big Birthday Party: Swans of the Seaport: 10th Edition: Celebrating the Fridge Decade. Taking place during New York City Frieze Week, May 1-5, 2024. Fridge will showcase a mix of contemporary artists and exhibitors in a fun, whimsical, friendly, and celebratory environment.
Fridge is dedicated to keeping our art fair low-cost in order to lower the barrier for artists to show their work. At $225 a booth, participation at Fridge is maybe the lowest cost of any art fair. The energy of Fridge is more like a party thrown by old friends rather than a high priced corporate event like Armory, Volta or Frieze. Festivities will begin with a magnificent Big Birthday Party on opening night, party games from pin the tail on the Fridge to bobbing for apples, constant birthday surprises, prizes, and fun throughout the fair celebrating the best of a Decade of Fridge. We are Bringing in the Swans as an added bonus for our Big Birthday Bash in the elegant and historic Seaport.
The fair, held throughout several spaces of 33 Seaport Hotel, will showcase a variety of contemporary art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and video installations. Fridge will be curated and directed by Chris Cobb, David Craig Ellis, Jean & Iggy Font of CollaboARTive, and founder Eric Ginsburg, with special projects by Kaitlin Martin and Phoenix Roberts. The music and entertainment program will be directed by Lise “Sonny” Laurent. As part of the partnership the 33 Seaport Hotel will host the exclusive "Straight from the Fridge Bar” & the “Swan Birthday Lounge," where art and libations intertwine. Attendees can enjoy art-inspired cocktails, appetizers, and birthday sweet treats while soaking in the creative atmosphere. Fridge will offer something for everyone.

The hotel is an intimate luxury escape nestled amidst the cobbled streets of Downtown Manhattan’s historic South Street Seaport.
Since its inception in May 2013, Fridge Art Fair has presented concurrent with Frieze (yes, the name is a play on that week in New York City!) and Art Basel in Miami. We have lived up to our tagline, "Can you fit into the Fridge?" by accepting numerous and diverse exhibitors in spaces from tiny to huge that were either affordable or donated to us.
